Mamoth tusk fountain pen




For the Dutch poet Ingmar Heytze
Wennekendonk made a fountainpen of mamothtusk,
specially designed for the hand of the poet,





for the occasion of the presentation of his diary
"Hier heeft de oudste steen gelijk" in the Blauwe Zaal
of the city theatrehall in Utrecht.

In commission of a Utrecht client Wennekendonk designed
an ivory ring. Here too: a one off, tailor made.

Exposure




Monday the 2nd the NPS-program Klokhuis broadcasted from 18.30u to 18.45u a delivery on the subject of spectacleframe designing and making. In this a special interview with the client Nicoline Kortbeek who had her own 'Druide'-frame designed.




Exposition "Glass & Ink II"

- Spectacle frames by Kees Wennekendonk
with poetry by Ingmar Heytze



Sunday the 3rd of february the exposition 'Glass & Ink II' opened on the Lange Nieuwstraat 56 Utrecht, atelier Klasina.
The overall new combinations of poetry by Heytze and designs by Wennekendonk are shown in the 'Art Window' in the Museumquarters.

In the exposition 'Glass & ink' the poetry and the designs mutually depthen each others beauty, and give a fresh view on each other. The visitor is part of how to artist from completelty different diciplines deal with the same eternal themes: time, love, the universe.
The poem Mammoet finds its place next to a frame made from mamoth ivory, named Mammoet Tattoo. The verse Nimue corresponds beautifully with the Druide, mad eout of white waterbuffelohorn. The frame Highlander out of Schottish Highlanderhorn functions as as kathaliser for the poemt - in both the design and the poem a coplete universe is embedded.

The exposition consists of 11 combinations in a glass window.
